Location: 666 Broadway, 3rd Floor
Date: Thursday, May 8
Time: 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Accept the words of a child or a parrot if it is rational and logical. If it is not rational and logical, do not accept it, even if it is said to be the words of the Creator.” (Nyaya -‐ Indian logic)

Workshop Overview:
“Krishnamacharya is the cause for my back pain” said one practitioner recently. Yoga has experienced an explosion of popularity worldwide over the past few decades. Unfortunately, this explosion has led to lot of confusion and also resulted in injuries/imbalances.

In the above statement, who/what is the cause?

Is it Krishnamacharya, is it the practitioner’s teacher, is it the student, is it absence of mindfulness in the practice?

This one day program with interactive sessions will:

  1. Help you learn the basis of Indian logic.
  2. Develop critical thinking.
  3. Analyze current yoga practices based on cause and effect relationships.
  4. Help you to develop right practices and avoid mindfully doing incorrect practices that can result in injuries/imbalances.

  3. How to bring in a pleasant feeling into the practice of pranayama.
  4. How to achieve steadiness of the mind through pranayama.
